What editions of Hunter Planet are available?

The 1st edition was published in a limited run of 500 copies in 1985. Almost impossible to find. (Although Mum had one sitting in her filing cabinet. Who knew?)

The 2nd Edition had a larger run of over 2,000 copies and ended up in places all over the world, primarily Australia, USA and UK.

The Kickstarter is ready for Launch on 1st June.

Where can I play Hunter Planet?

Local gaming groups develop once one person discovers the game. Now with the Little Hunts variant, games can be played with a CM and two players.

How do I get started with the game?

For a player it’s as simple as 1-2-3 using our streamlined Character Record Sheet:

1. Imagine your character’s name, stage of life, race and occupation
2. Roll the 6 characteristics, Luck and Hit Points
3. Select your weapons and gear or just select a Quick Pick Pack!

Now let’s play! That process can take as little as 5 minutes from sitting down and beginning to play.

Hunter Planet is not a campaign game. It is a fun one-off type of roleplaying game where you can have a break from your campaign or more detailed game, play Hunter Planet, and return rejuvenated. A low stakes, high fun game is great to get your mojo back.

How long does a game take?

The standard answer is about the length of a movie. After all you are participating in an interactive story.
It all depends on the number of players.
A “Little Hunt” with 2 players will take around 90 minutes. Add about 20-30 minutes per extra player.
The more players involved means more interactions and a deeper game.
