You have created your character in Part 1, but now it requires the right weapons and equipment to do the job.
Remember if you don’t write it down, you don’t have it.
All hunters get some standard gear. Hunters have always been provided a communicator, but now they have a choice:
- The Classic – a long time proven performer:
- Sturdy
- Universal translator function
- Voice only Communicator over reasonable distances
- Homing Beacon
- New “Universe 7” – new, improved, better:
- Sturdy-ish
- Universal translator function
- Full Video Communicator over short distances
- Homing Beacon
- Reasonable battery power
- A pretty good video and still camera for capturing the good times.
- A note taking area, diary and calendar.
- A collection of fancy games
- A safety theft prevention system

You then get to go shopping!
There are no cost limits. You can go crazy and get everything. However, as with everything Hunter Planet, you can do whatever you want, there are only consequences.
You have to somehow carry and store everything. Then in the heat of excitement, access the vitally important tool or weapons carefully stored somewhere in your back pack. Or conveniently in your from pocket when a hail of bullets strikes you in the chest. You get the idea.
Now just trust the CM to approve your list.
The last step is for you to pass over your completed character sheet to the CM. It is his or her job to discover your sneaky attempts at including contraband items, or confirm how you will be carrying the mountain of gear you have selected. It is also the time to negotiate your clever special item that is not on the standard lists. With great power comes great responsibility. And corresponding risk.
Now let’s play!
